Two of our partners need your voice now. Mother and daughter Tulia Maris Valencia and Sara Quiñonez are two Afro-Colombian women human rights defenders who have been unjustly imprisoned in a maximum security prison, on baseless charges.
Sara and Tulia have dedicated their lives to protecting Afro-Colombian communities and are at the forefront of Colombian movements for environmental, racial and gender justice.
Their arrest and continued imprisonment comes as Colombia is experiencing a wave of killings of human rights defenders, with at least 322 murdered in less than three years. Instead of jailing human rights advocates, the government must protect them!
You can help our Colombian partner organization, Proceso de Comunidades Negras - PCN (Black Communities Process) collect 10,000 messages of support for Sara Quiñonez and Tulia Maris Valencia.
Email us your messages of love and resistance at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll make sure that Sara, Tulia and our partners at PCN hear from you! Please indicate where you are writing from and whether or not your letter can go public.
