Below is a message we received from Ana Ceto, our partner at Muixil, an organization of Indigenous women in Guatemala. The English translation follows the Spanish text.
Estimadas mujeres de ORGANIZACI�N MADRE, por este medio, les manifestamos nuestro profundo agradecimiento por todo el trabajo que realizan para las mujeres, tambien damos las gracias a cada una de las personas que apoyan a las mujeres para que tengan una vida digna.
En nuestro pais Guatemala, hemos pasada muchas etapas en las cuales las familias ixiles han sufrido de varias formas, pero el impacto por el momento es el juicio de Rios Montt, estamos satisfechas con el solo hecho que se incio el debate en su contra, confiamos que los actores de justicia haran bien su trabajo en base a los hechos y las leyes Nacionales e Internacionales, agradecemos a cada una de las personas que encabezan las intituciones que estan dando acompa�amiento a las testigos sobrevivientes de muchas violaciones a derechos Humanos.
Es lamentable la intervencion de algunas personas y funcionarios de Gobierno que niegan que hubo genocidio en Guatemala. Cuando hay sufisientes pruebas. solocitamos la intervencion de muchas organizacines que se pronuncien al respecto.

Dear women of MADRE, we hereby express our deep appreciation for all the work that you have done for the women, and we also thank every single person that supports women so they can live with dignity.
In our country, Guatemala, there have been many instances in which the Ixiles families have suffered in various ways, but what has impact for the moment is the trial of Rios Montt. We are satisfied with the single fact that it has initiated a debate against him, and we are confident that the judicial actors have done their work well on the basis and the facts of the national and international laws. We are grateful to each and every survivor of many human rights violations.
The intervention of certain people and civil servants of the government that deny the genocide in Guatemala is pathetic when there is sufficient evidence to the contrary. We solicit the intervention of many organizations to speak out about this issue.
