The submission aimed to provide supplementary information to the Human Rights Committee for its review of the third periodic report submitted by the government of Guatemala at its 104th Session in March 2012. The report documented human rights violations against women in Guatemala under several articles of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and set forth a series of recommended measures that the State can undertake to better comply with its obligations under the Convention.
