Report on Failure to Investigate and Prevent Threats and Violence Against the Women Human Rights Defenders at KOFAVIV (October 2014)

The submission documented violations committed against women human rights defenders working in Haiti under several articles of the ICCPR for the Committee’s review of Haiti’s second periodic report. It further provides information on the Haitian government’s inadequate measures to investigate the complaints filed by the women human rights defenders, and to protect them from violence. The submission also contains several recommendations on actions the government of Haiti can take to guarantee immediate as well we long-term protection for these women.
