Living With Fear: Torture and Discrimination Committed Against LGBT Persons in Iraq (July 2015)

This report provided supplementary information for the UN Committee Against Torture (CAT) for its review of the initial report of Iraq at the 55th session in July 2015. This report addressed urgent areas of concern related to the torture of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Iraq under several articles of the Convention. Additionally, the report offered a series of recommendations for the Government of Iraq on concrete measures the State can take to fully uphold and protect the rights of LGBT persons in the country.
