In Guatemala, we work with our local partner MUIXIL to support Indigenous women facing poverty, violence and discrimination.
With our support, MUIXIL runs sewing courses that focus on economic empowerment and cultural preservation, bringing together Indigenous women from ages 17 to 41. They told us the classes help them pass on weaving traditions and earn an income to support their families.
