Take Action: Don't Let the Taliban Benefit from the Flood Crisis - Send More Aid to Pakistan

The United Nations has rated the current flooding in Pakistan as the greatest humanitarian crisis in recent history. More people are affected by the Pakistan floods than were affected by the South-East Asian tsunami and the recent earthquakes in Kashmir and Haiti --combined.

Aid has been slow to arrive, and where international aid is failing, militant groups like the Taliban have stepped in to provide flood survivors with clean water, food, and shelter. People in need don't have the luxury of getting survival essentials from the humanitarian group of their choice, so if a militant group can provide, flood survivors will have no other option but to depend on those groups for aid. This dynamic could cause militant groups to gain more control over local communities--with especially dire consequences for women and girls.

Please send a letter to President Obama asking him to increase US aid to Pakistan!
