I still believe that our world can find the healing and transformation we so desperately need — because I believe in mothers.
Mothers working to create peace and defend the planet ... mobilizing urgent humanitarian aid and demanding policy change … fighting for economic justice even as too many struggle to survive in poverty … forced to flee war and disaster and recreating a sense of safety for their families as refugees … these mothers, and every mother who takes action, big or small, to nurture their children and build thriving communities fuel me with hope.
Through my years at MADRE, I’ve seen the power of mothers to overcome crisis and see their families through the worst of times. And I’ve seen the power of your support to sustain mothers worldwide and their work to build a better world for all our children.
