Once again, people are rising up against racism and police brutality. Since we put out this statement just days ago, even more communities have rallied to sound the call: Black lives matter. And we have witnessed even more police violence as they have cracked down across the country.
We’re living through a pandemic that has forced a deeper realization of what it means to care for each other and for our communities. This is also what caring looks like — vibrant, relentless organizing and protest to protect lives, defend human rights, and stand up for Black communities.
