Shonda Smith works on communications and marketing strategies that affirm MADRE’s position as a visible and leading authority in the global human rights space.
She has helped raise the brand profiles of organizations committed to social justice through content development, speaker bureau management, and the creation of strategic partnerships with influential individuals over the years.
In her spare time, Shonda finds joy in laughing loudly and often with family, writing about extraordinary people, and curling up with a riveting memoir. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from SUNY at New Paltz and an M.S. in Publishing from New York University.
