When a disaster hits or when conflict or war breaks out, women and girls jump in to take action. In these moments, our partners need us most.
MADRE works directly with local women's groups so we're able to mobilize resources immediately and effectively. With your support, we helped communities respond to the COVID-19 crisis, accelerated funding for shelters and emergency relocation efforts for women's rights activists in Afghanistan, and provided humanitarian aid to organizers in Haiti following a magnitude 7.2 earthquake.
