Dear Friends, Happy New Year from all of us at MADRE! I hope this January issue of MADRE Speaks Online finds you well. As we mark the one year anniversary of the South Asian tsunami, I want you to know that MADRE continues to support the rebuilding efforts and human rights work of INFORM, our Sri Lankan sister organization. This issue of MADRE Speaks includes a report on INFORM’s work over the past year. You’ll also find an update on the work of our partners in Pakistan as they continue to respond to the devastating October earthquake. Though they are no longer front page news, the need in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka remains urgent so please, if you can, donate for emergency relief today, or pass this newsletter onto friends and family who may be able to help.
