Blankets and Coats for Afghan Children

The news out of refugee camps in Afghanistan has been bleak: children are freezing to death because of plunging temperatures and lack of supplies.

But your support of MADRE is helping save lives. Because of you, MADRE was able to send a contribution to the Young Women for Change group of Afghanistan.  This will help support their distribution of relief materials, including firewood, blankets and coats.

Young Women for Change surveyed four tent camps and identified families in most in need. They looked at the condition of tents, the amount of food and clothing available, as well as access to clean water. They will be using the contribution you made possible to buy urgent supplies from Kabul.
