MADRE Applauds Landmark Step Demanding Justice for Survivors of Abuse by Clergy

MADRE congratulates our friends at the Center for Constitutional Rights for their courageous decision to file a case at the International Criminal Court, calling for an investigation of the Vatican for crimes against humanity. In documents submitted to the court, the CCR and its partners in this effort compiled evidence implicating high-level officials at the Vatican in enabling the cover-up of sexual abuse worldwide.
We stand with our long-time allies at CCR in demanding justice for all survivors of sexual violence, no matter how powerful the perpetrators or those who guard them from accountability.
