When I walked into the room full of children with smiling faces, I remembered that these kids had never known a life without war.
Thanks to your support, our amazing partners at Taller de Vida helped give them a life free from violence and full of joy, creativity and laughter. Taller de Vida works with former child soldiers and youth at risk of being recruited. Our partners use art and theater programs to teach the children to express themselves and to imagine peace.

Yesterday, I saw and felt this firsthand—the energy in the room as the children showed us their dances and the glow on their brightly painted faces as they sang. I wish you could be here with me, because your support has made this possible. Thank you.

P.S. I also shared some of my reflections about my wonderful visit to Taller de Vida in a blog post. Click here to read more.
