MADRE at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) 2008:

Launch of the Gender Equality Architecture Reform (GEAR) Campaign

Date: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 Time: 5:00pm-6:30pm Location: Church Center at the UN, 777 UN Plaza, Hardin Room, 11th Floor, New York, NY (entrance at 44th St. near 1st Ave) At the fifty-second session of the Commission on the Status of Women, women's rights organizations will launch the Gender Equality Architecture Reform (GEAR) Campaign. This landmark effort will work to secure a role for women's leadership at the UN, with the development of a UN body devoted to women's issues and headed by an Under-Secretary General. MADRE is co-sponsoring this event with the Center for Women's Global Leadership (CWGL) and other women's rights organizations. For more information, contact cwgl@igc.org.

Human Rights for Women — Human Rights for All: Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
