Video: Iraqi Feminists Speak Out
The leadership of our sister organization in Iraq, the Organization of Women's Freedom in Iraq (OWFI), was recently featured on CNN and Al-Jazeera, talking about their courageous work to defend women's rights.

A Legacy of Hope: Mae Millstone's Story
Mae Millstone was a tireless defender of human rights who remained an active champion of social justice until the age of 95. With future activists in mind, Mae arranged to have support sent to MADRE and other organizations upon her passing in early 2009. Mae's commitment to human rights and vision of a just world will live on in the people whose lives she touched. Read more »

Transgendered Activists "Working for an Inclusive Latin America & Caribbean"
Recently, the organization REDLACTRANS (Latin American and Caribbean Transgender Network) was recognized for their tireless advocacy for the human rights of transgendered people across the region, accepting the Clarence H. Moore Award for Voluntary Service.  Read more »
