Ending Sexual Violence in Conflict

We are part of an international movement to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. MADRE joins our sisters and survivors worldwide to demand that no woman or child anywhere should ever be abused, raped or trafficked.

As part of our shared commitment, we are participating in the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict. Taking place in London, this is the largest convening ever on this issue.

During the four day summit (June 10-13, 2014), we will explore a broad range of issues related to sexual violence in conflict. We will talk about how to prevent war and protect women's human rights. We will address how to demand a space for women's voices in peace negotiations.

If you are in London, join our partner Taller de Vida for a panel discussion on the challenges in documenting sexual violence against children in Colombia's armed conflict.
